I am a mixed media artist based in North Yorkshire near to the Howardian Hills. I work predominantly in textiles and found objects but enjoy experimenting with a range of mixed media. My work is influenced by my local environment and the nature that surrounds us. This often includes the Yorkshire Coast, Moors, Wolds and Dales. My work is often mistaken for paintings but look closely and you will discover my main canvas is vintage ties.

I went to art college and then trained in Interior Design and have spent my career as a Secondary School teacher delivering Product Design, Textiles and Food Technology. 

Pearl Loves Paisley is the next adventure in my life and I have been working on exhibiting my art and delivering both day and residential courses in a range of experimental textile techniques.

I work from home in my beautiful studio in the back garden. The new studio was finished in 2020 and has made the most amazing difference to my approach to my artwork.
